Coastal Focus LLC began as an extension of our Columbia research facility, Midlands Market Research. Managing partners, Judy and Frank DuBose, began Midlands Market Research in the mid 1970's. As Midlands Market Research was conducting an ample amount of research in Charleston for clients, Judy and Frank realized there was a need for a research facility in the area.

In 1998, Midlands Market Research partnered with a local research firm in Greenville to develop Coastal Focus LLC in Charleston. The name Coastal Focus was created to form an entirely separate company with the new partnership. Eventually, Judy and Frank bought out the other research firm, and now are the managing partners of both Coastal Focus and Midlands Market Research.
